It happened to be a random chance event where Tessah had an open day, I did too, and there was still some snow on the ground. We were kind of worried that we might not have any left at all, but on the way to our location, it started raining, and then right as Tessah stepped out of her car, we started to get slowly falling snow...Unfortunately it continued to pick up until we couldn't see each other anymore, but we still got some great pics and had some fun in the snow...
You know those times when people tell you that they have some cool stuff sitting in the middle of a field, and that it might be a cool place to take photos, and you're not sure what to think? This time it was definitely a great place. Some friends of ours had some amazing stuff randomly sitting in the middle of nowhere and we went a little crazy taking photos as soon as we got there.
Since we took the first round of Kindra's photos this summer, she wanted to get some pictures after the colors had turned and things had cooled off. I am definitely glad that she decided she wanted more. ...
For whatever reason, I keep lucking out and getting beautiful weather for outdoor photo shoots. Taylor must have brought some good luck with him and we had a perfect weather day in the middle of a lot of not so nice ones. He also brought his pick-up along too and it's honestly the first time I have taken photos of someone with a vehicle that wasn't abandoned or sitting in the middle of a field. I thought I would try some places around town that I hadn't used before and I think they fit Taylor pretty well. I'll post more on here as I get them done!

I had seen Elliot around for a few years, shot a few photos of him playing basketball, and knew his family, but had never spent any time with him. After a few hours, I have to admit that he is a pretty cool and down to earth guy. We roamed all around town trying to find something that would fit his personality, and even got to spend some time in the gym watching him dunk a few basketballs.

We were hoping for decent weather and a little bit of sunshine, and somehow we lucked out...although most of Zac's shots were inside anyway...I love being on location and working with what is there...I'm not much for "studio" photos since they rarely show someones true personality and I think Zac's were no exception...we found some great places to give him some unique photos that fit his personality and it was a great way to spend some time on a Saturday...

Since our son was turning two this summer, and developing quite a personality, we thought we would capture him with some of his favorite things from the summer...he loves tractors and his bouncy horse that he got for Christmas....my wife painstakingly created the two out of his Legos, and it fell apart several times before we taped it all together on the back :)
I will add a disclaimer right away that I cannot take complete credit for these photos...the crayon idea was all Gracie's dad and we were both pretty happy with the way everything worked out...Kevin and Jamie are great parents and their kids are amazing as well...It's always fun to be able to take photos for real friends and even better when you get to hang out afterwards...Gracie liked the water at the end too and the umbrella was a great addition...in case anyone was wondering, there were several boxes of crayons that had to get picked up afterwards....
